Penzeys Spices

MILWAUKEE (Business Journal) — The Business Journal is reporting the owner of the former Northridge on Milwaukee’s far northwest side has gotten “cold feet” about a proposed sale to Penzeys Spices.

Penzey has been trying to acquire Northridge from U.S. Toward Enterprise Group Inc., a subsidiary of China-based Beijing Toward Enterprise Group. A deal had been reached in May to buy the property for $710,000, not including $800,000 that has already invested in the property.

But U.S. Toward has backed off from that deal and appears to be exploring other options.
