Brewers lose ugly to Mets 12-5

MILWAUKEE -- Kirk Nieuwenhuis reached base six times and drove in a career-high 5 in the New York Mets ugly 12-5 win over the Brewers on Friday night at Miller Park.
Six unearned runs were scored between the teams; Milwaukee's three errors only began to tell the story.
Johnny Hellweg's 2nd major league start wasn't much better than the first.
Hellweg lasted just 3 2/3rds innings, while allowing 7 runs (3 earned); he walked an unsightly 5 batters.
Carlos Gomez had 4 hits and made another home run-saving catch.
The two teams continue the 3 game series Saturday evening at 6:15 on Fox.
