Two hurt after car, motorcycle collide in West Allis

WEST ALLIS (WITI) -- Two people were hurt after a collision between a motorcycle and car near 60th and Beloit in West Allis around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, July 4th.

Police say a car was traveling east on Beloit Rd. when the driver made a left turn to go north on S. 60th St. When the driver made that turn, he apparently turned in front of an oncoming motorcycle that was traveling west on Beloit.

A man and woman on the motorcycle suffered serious injuries. They were taken to Froedtert Hospital for treatment.

The 30-year-old Milwaukee driver of the car was taken into custody for "OWI causing great bodily harm." The driver cooperated with officers in the investigation. Alcohol does appear to be a factor in this crash. The driver and passenger in the car were not hurt.
