Racine Co. hydraulics company escapes major fire damage

TOWN OF YORKVILLE (WITI) — A Racine County hydraulics company has a passerby to thank for reporting a fire outside their building Friday afternoon, July 5th.

Around 2:25 p.m., a pedestrian noticed something smoking outside Poclain Hydraulics before discovering a fire on the exterior of the west side of the building.

The Union Grove/Yorkville Fire Department and Town of Raymond Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. Crews continue working to cool down a wall that was affected.

No one was injured during the incident and all company employees have been accounted for.
