County Board moves to Coggs Center due to Courthouse closure

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee County Board staff has temporarily moved to the third floor of the Marcia P. Coggs Human Services Center on 12th and Vliet Streets and is operational while repairs are made to its offices at the Milwaukee County Courthouse following a fire. County Executive Chris Abele ordered the Courthouse closed earlier this week.

The Board’s main switchboard number, (414) 278-4222 is operational and will be answered by Board staff. Chairwoman Marina Dimitrijevic’s phone number, (414) 278-4282 is also operational. Constituent services will continue uninterrupted during the temporary re-location.

Messages for Supervisors can be left at 278-4222.

“The legislative branch has worked hard during this past week to continue to carry out  the people’s business under adverse circumstances,” Dimitrijevic said. “Even though we have been temporarily relocated, we will continue to provide a high level of service to the people of Milwaukee County.

“We look forward to returning to the Courthouse, but in the meantime we are working diligently to carry out the duties of the Board," Dimitrijevic added.
