Four in custody following triple shooting near W. Concordia

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police say 23-year-old Gabriel Contreras was shot and killed on Thursday, July 11th.

It happened in the 1400 block of W. Concordia just before 4:00 a.m.

Contreras is from Walworth, WI.

Anthony Sharp looked out his window around 4:00 a.m. Thursday and saw the lifeless body in the street.

"I was woke about 4. I heard a lot of shots. Not sure how many, but there were multiple shots fired. It's pretty terrifying because like, a neighborhood like this, you wouldn't expect it because it's a good block and pretty quiet," Sharp said.

Police say a 27-year-old man and 19-year-old man were also shot during the incident. The 27-year-old man remains in the hospital, and the 19-year-old was treated and released.

The 19-year-old man was taken into custody, along with three other suspects.

Police say the arrests were made pretty quickly, thanks to a little help.

"District 5 officers arrived on scene and interviewed some Good Samaritans who stayed around and they were able to put two people into custody," Milwaukee Police Lt. Steven Caballero said.

Milwaukee police say the incident remains under investigation.
