Milwaukee police identify man killed in motorcycle crash

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened on the city's north side just before midnight on Saturday, July 13th. Police have identified the victim as 20-year-old Sammie Johnson.

Johnson was driving a motorcycle southbound on I-43 and exited at the Fond Du  Lac / McKinley Avenue exit. Officials say the motorcyclist disregarded the red traffic signal at Fond Du Lac Avenue and was struck by two vehicles.

The first vehicle remained at the scene.  The second vehicle fled from the scene. There is no description of the vehicle that fled at this time.

There are no arrests at this time, and the investigation continues.
