Brewers uprising swats Nats 8-5

MILWAUKEE -- After scoring just two runs in their last 3 games (all losses), the Brewers managed to put up 5 runs in the 6th inning of Sunday's 8-5 win over Washington at Miller Park.

Milwaukee avoided a 3 game sweep in the process. The Nationals led 4-1 going into the 6th. A sacrifice fly by Carlos Gomez, and an infield hit off the bat of Khris Davis made it 4-3; Juan Francisco's rbi single tied matters; then Jeff Bianchi drove home 2 with a bloop single.

The Crew open a 9 game road trip Monday night at San Francisco.
