One $40K, three $10K winning Powerball tickets sold in Wisconsin

MADISON (WITI) -- Wisconsin had four big winners— one $40,000 winner and three $10,000 winners—all of them in Waukesha County in the Wednesday, August 7 Powerball jackpot drawing, while two tickets in New Jersey and one in Minnesota claimed shares of the $448.4 million jackpot ($258.2 million cash).

Paul White of Ham Lake, Minnesota, is one of the three people who bought a jackpot-winning ticket, the Minnesota State Lottery said Thursday. White, 45, will share the $448 million jackpot. Though he could have chosen $149.4 million over 30 years, he said he chose the cash option of $86 million, which will net him $58.3 million after taxes.

Wisconsin's $10,000 winning Powerball tickets were sold in/by:

Delafield        PDQ, 2694 Sun Valley Dr.

Dousman      The Paper Chase Station, 159A Hwy. 64

New Berlin    Kwik Trip, 15700 W. Small Rd.

Pewaukee     Stop-N-Go, 405 Ryan St.

One of these $10,000 tickets also had the Power Play prize multiplier and is worth $40,000. The Lottery cannot identify which ticket that is until all of the gaming information is processed overnight.

Wednesday's winning Powerball numbers were 05, 25, 30, 58 and 59.  The Powerball was 32.

Winners at all prize levels have 180 days from the date of the drawing to validate their tickets.

Wednesday night's jackpot was advertised as an estimated $425 million, but strong sales throughout the day pushed the final jackpot amount to $448.4 million. The $448.4 million jackpot is the third largest in Powerball history and the fourth largest lottery jackpot ever.
