VISIT Milwaukee creates Bikers’ Guide for H-D’s 110th Anniversary

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Bikers from not only our area, but from around the world, will be riding into Milwaukee for Harley-Davidson's 110th Anniversary.  There are plenty of things to do and attractions to see, it could be hard to keep track.  But a helpful guide has been created with bikers in mind.

“For the past four celebrations, we've created the official bikers guide,” said Jeannine Sherman, Director of Public Relations for VISIT Milwaukee

It's a booklet five months in the making.  67 pages full of articles, ads and anything Anniversary related.

“It's a guide not only for bikers to find out not only the great events happening during the 110th, but also how to take advantage of the entire city as well while they're here,” said Sherman.

VISIT Milwaukee has once again printed the Harley-Davidson Bikers' Guide, a 4-1-1 on the 110th Anniversary.  Inside, you'll find a bucket list of iconic places to see in the city, feedback from dealers on the five best Wisconsin rides with maps, and a Geotour of Milwaukee neighborhoods.

“One of the things we found is that riders use this as a collectors piece.  They love the guide and keep it and take it home, so you'll see it's a really high-quality piece, but it's unique right down to the size of the publication,” said Sherman.

The guide is small enough to where you can fold it and put it in your pocket, but if you feel like keeping it intact, there is an insert with a map and list of events that can be torn out.

There's also a new feature in the guide - a signature page.

“We know that riders like to keep the guide as a memento, so this is something you'd find in a high school yearbook.  You can have old friends sign it and have new friends sign it as well,” said Sherman.

The VISIT Milwaukee Bikers’ Guide can be found at all of Harley-Davidson's 110th Anniversary sponsored events, at Harley-Davidson dealerships, at area hotels, visitor centers and state welcome centers.

The guide can also be downloaded online from both thee VISIT Milwaukee website and the Harley-Davidson site.
