Long ball crushed Brewers in Cincy

CINCINNATI (WITI)-- Rookies Khris Davis and Scooter Gennett got things going in the second for the Brewers with a couple RBIs making it 2-0. But Cincinnati's long ball would be the story of the game.

Chris Heisey homered off Wily Peralta in the bottom of the 5th to cut the Crews' lead to one. Peralta was replaced by John Axford in the bottom of the 6th but the dingers continued.  Both Ryan Ludwick and Zack Cozart took Axford for a ride making it 4-2 in the 6th.

Joey Votto hit a blast in the bottom of the 7th and a Cozart single make it 6-2.

The Crew tried to come back in the 8th with a solo shot by rookie Caleb Gindl, his second of the year, but Milwaukee falls short and the Reds win it 6-3.
