Southeast Wisconsin braces for blast of heat Tuesday

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The heat is on! A Heat Advisory will kick in at noon Tuesday, lasting until 8pm for the following counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Jefferson, Walworth, Racine and Kenosha. Heat Index values ranging from 95 to 105°.

During extreme heat conditions, the Milwaukee Health Department is advising citizens to take the following precautions as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to prevent heat-related illness:

      Stay Informed


        The MHD will be enhancing surveillance for heat-related illness in the coming days, and working with Milwaukee Heat Task Force partners to address vulnerable population needs during this period.
