RACINE CO. (WITI) -- Two people on a motorcycle suffered critical injuries after colliding with another vehicle on Spring St. in the Town of Yorkville late Saturday night, August 31st.

Officials say just before midnight, the motorcycle and its riders, who have been identified as 39-year-old Robert Hall and 34-year-old Tanya Norton were headed westbound and passing vehicles when it collided with an eastbound vehicle. The motorcycle then struck another westbound vehicle.

One victim was transported to Wheaton Franciscan in Racine. The other was transported to St Catherine’s in Kenosha. Both were later taken to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, where they continue to recover from serious injuries.

Neither victim was wearing a helmet. Speed and the heavy fog were believed to be contributing factors in the crash. It is unknown at this time if alcohol played a role in the crash.

This accident remains under investigation.  No names are being released as this is an ongoing investigation.
