Been there, done that; Brewers lose

MILWAUKEE -- The Brewers fell to the Pirates on Labor Day, 5-2 at Miller Park, allowing Pittsburgh to open up a one game lead on the St. Louis Cardinals atop the National League Central Division standings.

Tyler Thornburg worked through six innings again, his usual performance as a Milwaukee starter, although he did wind up with the loss.  Newly acquired Michael Blazek put down the Pirates in order in the 8th inning in his Milwaukee debut. He was picked up in the recent trade sending  John Axford to St. Louis.

Neil Walker's three-run homer was the big blow offensively for the visitors.
