Kenosha Co. mall to install charging stations for electric vehicles

PLEASANT PRAIRIE (WITI) -- A plan was approved on Monday, September 9th to install a Tesla Motors supercharging station for electric vehicles at the Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets mall.

A total of eight parking spaces will be equipped with a charging post for Tesla electric vehicles. It will be the first supercharging station in Wisconsin -- and be located just west of the existing NIKE store.

The self-service, supercharging station will be available to motorists 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Tesla’s supercharging stations are able to recharge 50% battery capacity in as few as 20 minutes and a full charge in under an hour. Tesla Motors has delivered more than 10,000 electric vehicles to customers in 31 countries.
