RACINE CO. (WITI) — A Racine County judge sentenced Iryin Vaughn on Tuesday, September 17th to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Vaughn was found guilty in July of murdering his child’s mother and prompting an Amber Alert. The crime happened in February 2012.

Prosecutors say Vaughn stabbed his girlfriend, Gwynevere Wright, 25 times in the apartment they shared. They say he then took off with their two-year-old daughter. That prompted an Amber Alert. The girl was found unharmed in Illinois.
