Father, son accused of supplying guns to armed robbery gang

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Several armed robberies have recently taken place in one Milwaukee neighborhood and newly released police documents show that the MPD may be on the verge of solving them.

A 14-page search warrant accuses one man of supplying weapons to his 20-year-old son who has been arming a gang of teens police believe are terrorizing the neighborhood.

FOX6 is not naming the accused men due to the fact that they have not yet been charged.

However, FOX6 News spoke with the accused father in this case on Thursday, September 19th.

When asked about the accusations from police regarding supplying guns to a local robbery gang the man replied, "Yeah, they mentioned something about that but it's not true."

The search warrant shows that multiple weapons and ammunition were pulled out of a cottage behind the man's home in late August. The man claims that he was unaware of what was in the cottage and has no idea how he's become involved.

Police also found a stolen purse inside the cottage which helped lead them to suspects and at least one confession in which a teenager admitted to being part of an armed robbery gang.

The accused man's property is littered with bullet holes from a shooting he says happened two weeks before police came through with the search warrant. The man says the accusations and searches by authorities have left him scratching his head for answers.

"I just didn't know what was going on. Just haven't gotten to the bottom of it," the man told FOX6 News.
