Police investigate shooting of 30-year-old near 21st and Burleigh

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee Police are investigating an incident that took place around 7:25 p.m. on Friday, September 20th, where a 30-year-old man was shot.

The shooting happened near the intersection of N. 21st Ave. and Burleigh St.

The victim was shot in his lower extremities and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they have an idea of what may have prompted the shooting, but have not specified a motive.

Authorities are still investigating the scene of the crime. No one has been taken into custody.
