Brewers solid in home finale

MILWAUKEE (WITI)-- The Brewers wrapped up their last home game of the season by beating the Cardinals and winning the 3 game series 2 games to 1.

Milwaukee jumped out ahead quickly scoring 4 runs in the first 2 innings. Nori Aoki was the stand out for the Crew going 2-2 with 3 runs and and an RBI. Yougan Scooter Gennett wasn't too shabby either going 2-4 with a run and an RBI.  Jonathan Lucroy, Aramis Ramirez and Carlos Gomez each added one RBI.  A Cardinals throwing error added an unearned run and the Crew win 6-4.

As for the men on the mound, Willy Peralta picked up his 11th win of the season going 5 innings pitched allowing 3 earned runs on 5 hits and 5 walks.  Jim Henderson closed out the game in the bottom of the 9th and picked up his 26th save on the year.

The Brewers head to Atlanta for a 3 games series starting tomorrow and end the season with 4 against the Mets.
