Smith sentenced to one year in House of Correction, probation

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A Milwaukee County judge sentenced Nicholas Smith on Monday, September 23rd for his role in the shooting death of Russell Setum.

Setum was shot and killed Sunday, April 29th, 2012 near 48th and Wright.  Smith was charged along with Robert Cameron and Anthony Perkins in the case.

Smith pleaded guilty to Robbery with use of force, party to a crime.

The judge sentenced smith to four years in prison plus another three years of extended supervision. But that sentence was stayed. Instead, Smith got four years probation -- and one year in the House of Correction with work-release privileges. He must also do 250 hours of community service.
