Several "rolling" street closures for Brewers Mini-Marathon & 10K

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Department of Public Works (DPW) announces several “rolling” street closures on the City’s west and near south sides this Saturday, September 28 in support of the Brewers Mini-Marathon and 10K run (new for 2013).

 

A “rolling” closure means that a street will be barricaded approximately 15 minutes prior to the arrival of race participants. When all runners have safely completed a portion of the route, that affected street will be re-opened to vehicular traffic.

The mini-marathon route and street closures are as follows:

Start – Runners exit Miller Park via Selig Dr. and proceed east on Canal St.

Canal St. to the Harley-Davidson Museum grounds at 6th St.

6th St. south to the roundabout and north to Michigan St.

West on Michigan to Tory Hill to Clybourn St. to 27th St.

South on 27th St. to S. Layton Boulevard to National Ave.

West on National Ave. to 35th St.

North on 35th St. to State St.

West on State St. to Hawley Rd.

South on Hawley Rd. to Wells St.

East on Wells St. to 44th St.

South on 44th St. onto the Miller Park grounds – End

The 10K run route and street closures are as follows:

Start – Runners exit Miller Park north on N. 44th St. to W. Blue Mound Rd.

East on Blue Mound Rd. to 39th St.

North on 39th St. to State St.

West on State St. to Hawley Rd.

South on Hawley Rd. to Wells St.

East on Wells St. to 44th St.

South on 44th St. onto Miller Park grounds - End
