Families enjoy 20th annual Harvest Fair at State Fair Park

WEST ALLIS (WITI) -- The annual Harvest Fair wrapped up on Sunday, September 29th, and this weekend, it was the fair season's last hurrah at the Wisconsin State Fair Park.

"I think people come out once, and they realize what a great event this is, and then they absolutely keep coming back," Kristi Chuckel with Harvest Fair said.

The 20th annual Harvest Fair allowed the whole family the chance to decorate cookies, race tractors and become pumpkin patch pedestrians in the effort to harvest some fun.

"People that haven’t been here before, I love hearing how they’re like, 'I didn’t know about this event, and I came this year and I loved it and it was so much fun!'" Chuckel said.

Meagan Brennan and her family on Sunday were enjoying their first Harvest Fair.

"It’s fun! It’s great for the kids," Brennan said.

Sunday was the second trip for Stefanie Herbert and her two-year-old Nolan.

"Doesn’t cost anything to get in, so that’s family-friendly, and there’s a lot of stuff to do and there’s a lot of stuff to eat," Herbert said.

At the Leinie Lodge and the Micro, Benno Weigel enjoyed the Harvest Fair, and said while the event offers plenty for the kids, the adults can enjoy as well.

"Zillions of kids. There’s kids all over the place. Dad can come into The Micro and relax, watch a ballgame, or whatever—hang with his buddies, then the whole family can get together again later on," Weigel said.

The Harvest Fair runs through 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
