Kansasville man faces charges after allegedly firing shot at girlfriend

KANSASVILLE (WITI) -- 34-year-old Michael Mohrbacker of Kansasville faces several charges in connection with an incident stemming from an argument with his girlfriend early Sunday morning, September 29th.

Mohrbacker faces the following charges:

According to a criminal complaint in the case, early Sunday morning, September 29th, deputies responded to a report of shots fired at 444 Cox Road in the Town of Kansasville.

There, officials took Mohrbacker into custody, after observing several firearms, including a shotgun and several handguns.

Officials spoke with Mohrbacker's girlfriend, who said the couple and some others had gone to a bar on Saturday night, where she was speaking with another male friend.

The woman told officials Mohrbacker left the bar, angry -- and when she eventually returned from the bar, she noticed her Mustang and Ford Focus parked side-by-side in the driveway, blocking the driveway. The tires on both vehicles were flat -- according to the complaint.

The complaint indicates the woman believed Mohrbacker was in or near a pole barn on the property, and as she was walking toward the home, she heard a gunshot, and was "confident that Michael had just shot a gun at her."

The complaint says the woman continued to yell at Mohrbacker, when he walked past her and began to strip off his clothing until he was naked -- before walking into the home.

When police arrived, Mohrbacker eventually left the home, after a few attempts by officials to get him to do so, according to the complaint.

Officials performed a PBT on Mohrbacker, which returned an approximate result of .12 -- according to the complaint.

Mohrbacker and the woman lived in the home together, and have children together.

Officials discovered several firearms inside the residence, along with ammunition, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to the criminal complaint.
