Kenosha okays $17M in aid for Amazon distribution center

KENOSHA (WITI) -- The Business Journal reports that Amazon.com’s planned 1 million-square-foot Kenosha distribution center must be complete by the end of 2016 under an agreement the city approved Monday.

Amazon.com is expected to create 1,000 jobs in the distribution center planned for a 101-acre site east of Interstate 94 near 122nd Street.

The city will provide $17 million for construction of the building through a tax incremental financing district Kenosha’s Common Council unanimously (13-0) approved Monday night, October 7th.
