Jessie Rodriguez wins GOP primary for 21st Assembly District

FRANKLIN (WITI) — Jessie Rodriguez beat out four other candidates on Tuesday, October 22nd, to win the the Republican primary for the 21st Assembly District.

With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Rodriguez secured 1,512 votes for 48 percent of the vote. Chris Kujawa was second with 27 percent of the vote.

According to her website, Rodriguez graduated from Hamilton High after three years and graduated from Marquette University with a B.A. in Communications Studies.

Rodriguez is from Franklin and now works as the Outreach Director at a nonprofit called “Hispanics for School Choice.”

In the general election on Tuesday, November 19th, Rodriguez will face Elizabeth Coppola, a Democrat from South Milwaukee.
