Sunburst Winter Sports Park in Kewaskum

KEWASKUM (WITI) — Sunburst Winter Sports Park in Kewaskum blew its first man-made snow of the season early Tuesday, October 22nd.

Steve Voss, the ski hill’s general manager, tells FOX6 News about six inches of snow was blown onto Sunburst’s terrain park Tuesday. If the chilly weather holds the rest of the week, Sunburst hopes to open the terrain park to skiers and snowboarders this weekend.

Voss says this is the earliest he remembers blowing snow at Sunburst. The previous earliest date was Halloween.

Later this season, Sunburst is planning to expand its tubing area. The hope is to expand it to 41 lanes — which would make it the largest tubing area in the country.
