Pedestrian struck by vehicle and killed in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN (WITI) — Sheboygan Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Tuesday evening, October 29th and involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.

It happened on Washington Ave. west of South Business Drive.

Officials say the crash occurred around 4:30 p.m.

Officials say the pedestrian was taken to the hospital by ambulance, and later died due to injuries.

The driver of the striking vehicle, a 63-year-old Hingham man and passenger, a 63-year-old Hingham woman both complained of minor injuries but declined treatment.

Officials say neither alcohol nor speed appear to be contributing factors in the crash.

Sheboygan Police are working to identify and contact possible witnesses to the crash.  Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Sheboygan Police Department at (920)459-3333.
