Bomb Squad responds to bomb scare at Yorkville business Tuesday

YORKVILLE (WITI) — Racine County Sheriff’s officials responded to a bomb threat on Tuesday, October 29th just before 1:00 p.m.

It happened at Poclain Hydraulics, located at 1300 Grandview Parkway in Yorkville.

Officials say a handwritten note was found on a loading dock indicating there was an explosive device in the building.

Based on the limited information it was decided to evacuate the business and secure surrounding businesses.

Members of the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office EOD K-9 Unit was contacted and responded to the business.

A search of the business was conducted without any devices being located.
