Man accused of stealing school iPads reaches plea deal

SHEBOYGAN CO. (WITI) -- A 33-year-old Milwaukee man accused of stealing dozens of iPads and other tablet computers from the Random Lake School District has apparently reached a plea deal in the case.

Ustby pleaded no contest on Tuesday, October 29th to two charges of theft of movable property under $10,000.

According to the criminal complaint, Ustby, who worked as Random Lake School District IT Specialist, began taking iPads in early 2013 and selling them on Craigslist. Ustby told police he began doing the same thing in late July 2013 when the district received a shipment of Asus tablets. Ustby also admitted to taking an iMac laptop.

Ustby will be sentenced on January 3rd.
