Aaron Rodgers with Kelly

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Aaron Rodgers and David Gruber surprise a young girl named Kelly at The Pabst Theater, highlighting the work of IndependenceFirst, an organization run by and for the benefit of people who have disabilities. Kelly has spina bifida — but she clearly does not let that get in the way of her life’s ambitions.

This is the second in a series of vignettes from itsAaron.com.

Aaron you are an awesome, kind hearted soul! Thank you for all you do as a Packer, and your personal time spent with those in need,

It’s so refreshing to see a genuine and real pro athlete spending time with someone who struggles in their everyday life and makes them forget for just a little while all they must overcome. Aaron has such a real quality to him and his concern and sincerity is such a rare trait in our society from someone who can do so much good when they go that extra mile. As a Packer fan I am just blown away by this experience and my faith is renewed in the humanity and giving back that is the trademark of this NFL franchise.

You got it right, David, Kelly is JOY, all the time. She’s a beautiful, bubbly joy-filled young lady. This made me cry happy tears. Thanks to all involved!
