Vice President Joe Biden has to borrow money for lunch
(CNN) -- Vice President Joe Biden had to borrow a few bucks for lunch on Thursday, November 21st.
He stopped by the grand opening of a Capriotti's Sandwich Shop in Washington and ordered three Italian subs and a Bobbie -- a turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce, stuffing and mayo.
The total was a little more than $56, but Biden only had $50.
The owner of the franchise offered to pay the difference, but Biden said he's eaten at Capriotti's for 40 years and always pays.
One of Biden's staff members loaned him $7 for the food.
