FULLERTON, Calif. — Jamil Wilson scored 24 points and grabbed 9 rebounds, as No 25 Marquette routed tournament host Cal State-Fullerton 86-66 on Thanksgivng. Davante Gardner and freshman JaJuan Johnson each had 18 points off the bench.
The improving Golden Eagles (4-2) shot almost 56 percent from the field and outrebounded their foe, 40 to 20.
MU made 7 of 16 from 3 point range after shooting an abysmal 22.3 percent from beyond the arc before the contest.
Coach Buzz Williams team takes on unbeaten George Washington Friday at 2:30 central time in the same gym.
