SHEBOYGAN (WITI) — Sheboygan police and fire crews responded to the 2900 block of Behrend Parkway early Thursday morning, November 28th after receiving a 911 call regarding a vehicle upside down in the water retention pond.

The Sheboygan Dive Team was activated, however no victims were located.

The vehicle operator, a 49-year-old Sheboygan man, was located a short time later with the assistance of his family. The man confirmed he was the only occupant of the vehicle.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle was eastbound on Behrens Parkway when the operator lost control.

Officials say road conditions and alcohol may have been factors in the crash — which remains under investigation.
