MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police now say the death of a five-year-old boy is being considered a homicide investigation.

Police say a 25-year-old man is in custody.

Police say the boy was found in his apartment in the 1200 block of E. Singer Circle shortly before 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27th.

On Wednesday evening, teddy bears and balloons sat outside that apartment as a small memorial to the boy.

A man who identified himself as the child’s father said he saw his son on Sunday — and was visibly distraught by the situation.

The investigation in this case is ongoing.
