Marquette falls in the desert, loses to New Mexico

LAS VEGAS (WITI)– Buzz Williams’ and the Golden Eagles were thirsty for a win against New Mexico in the desert but Cullen Neal and the Lobos were too much of a Gamble.

Neal lead the night in scoring with 24 points and despite Marquette’s 7 point lead at the half they fell 75-68.

Golden Eagles’ guard, Jake Thomas lead the team in scoring with 17 points and Jamil Wilson closely followed with 15.

The loss puts Marquette at 7-5 on the season. They have  a bit of a Christmas break before taking on Samford the 28th.
