Residents spend hours clearing snow in hardest hit areas

PORT WASHINGTON (WITI) -- Residents in Port Washington were some of the hardest hit during the winter storm Sunday, December 22nd. Some say it took hours just to get their property cleared.

"Takes a good couple hours even with the machine and of course there's some hand shoveling around the house and stuff," said Mark Holie. "I'd say there's got to be at least six to seven inches out here."

Holie took the time to clear both his and his neighbor's driveway Sunday morning using his vintage snow blower.

"It's an old beast and it works like a million bucks. They don't make them like this anymore," said Holie.

Most people FOX6 spoke with said they got after the snow early enough to be able to catch the Packers game Sunday afternoon.
