Harper-Lowe pre-trial conference adjourned to January 30

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- 24-year-old Brandon Harper-Lowe, a Milwaukee man facing charges after he allegedly pointed a semi-automatic handgun at a motorist and threatened officers, was due in court Friday, December 27th for a pre-trial conference. During the conference, the courted ordered the case be adjourned until January 30th.

According to the criminal complaint, Harper-Lowe pointed a semi-automatic handgun towards another motorists while traveling near the intersection of Northridge Lake Road and N. 76th Street on December 15th. The incident allegedly occurred after Harper-Lowe ran a red light, nearly causing an accident.

The complaint indicates Harper-Lowe ran a red light at the intersection of Northridge Lake Road and N. 76th, causing another driver, who was traveling southbound on N. 76th Street through a green light, to slam on their brakes. During that time, Harper-Lowe allegedly made a U-turn in a parking lot and pulled onto N. 76th street in an attempt to block the driver, who was traveling southbound through a green light, in traffic.

At that time, the complaint indicates Harper-Lowe reached down in his vehicle and grabbed a black handgun and pointed it in an upward position. During that time, the motorist called police -- and Harper-Lowe fled from the location in his vehicle.

According to the criminal complaint, officers located Harper-Lowe traveling southbound a short distance from the scene and initiated a traffic stop in the 6300 block of N. 76th Street. During the stop, Harper-Lowe allegedly became upset and began to threaten the officers.

According to the criminal complaint, Harper-Lowe began to scream and use profanity, stating, "I'm gonna keep my CCW permit. No matter what, and it's nothing you can do, so you police better watch your back." The complaint indicates Harper-Lowe also told officers he was going to kill all of their children.

Following Harper-Lowe's arrest, police recovered two bags of cocaine.
