Neighborhood Task Force officers arrest three felons during traffic stop

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Officers from the Milwaukee Police Department’s Neighborhood Task Force arrested three convicted felons during a traffic stop on Thursday, December 26th.

According to officials, the SUV the men were traveling in was pulled over in the 3400 block of W. Burleigh Street around 5:55 p.m.

During the stop, officers discovered the driver of the vehicle, a 38-year-old Milwaukee man, was wearing body armor and also found a handgun underneath a floor mat in the back seat.

Two other passengers in the car, a 33-year-old Milwaukee man and a 34-year-old Milwaukee man, were also taken into custody after a search revealed a quantity of narcotic pills in the car.

All three men have lengthy arrest records and face several new charges stemming from this recent incident. The case will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
