Police investigate two shooting incidents on Milwaukee’s south side

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police are investigating two shooting incidents that happened on Tuesday, December 31st.

The most recent happened around 10:30 p.m. near 25th and Lapham on the city’s south side. The victim is a 22-year old female who was shot by a family member during an argument.

The victim is recovering at a local hospital from non-life threatening injuries.  The suspect is in custody.

Earlier in the evening, officers responded to a home near 27th and Lincoln for a report of a shooting.

A 26-year-old male victim was shot and then driven to a local hospital by a friend.  The victim’s injuries are not life threatening and the circumstances that led to the shooting remain under investigation.

There are no suspects in custody.
