Forecast this week brings opportunity for winter precipitation

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- We won't see the bitterly cold temperatures we saw last week -- but we could see some winter precipitation as we begin this work week.

FOX6's Vince Condella says we could see rain and freezing rain after midnight and overnight Sunday, January 12th -- and a low temperature around freezing (32 degrees).

Condella says the rain and freezing rain should be out of the area by Monday morning's rush hour -- but there could still be a few slick spots during your morning commute due to the extensive snowcover and cold ground.

Condella advises watching for slick spots on roads, bridges and sidewalks on Monday.

The remainder of Monday should be partly sunny and breezy with a high around 34.

Tuesday brings a chance for snow. Condella says we could see two to four inches of accumulation between 3:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Our next potential opportunity for light snow comes on Thursday.
