Streak's over Brookfield Central beats Germantown

BROOKFIELD -- Brookfield Central took down mighty Germantown Tuesday night, 68-58; in the process, the host Lancers (12-0) snapped the Warhawks boys state record 69 game winning streak in front of a packed house. Coach Mark Adams team have likely earned the number 1 spot in the state rankings as well.
Riley LaChance, who will play at Vanderbilt, scored 13 of his team-high 24 points in the 4th quarter.
Germantown (13-1) was led by Buffalo-bound Lamonte Beardon who also scored 24.
Coach Steve Showalter's 2-time defending state champion Warhawks hadn't lost a game since march of 2011.
