Police say woman, man found dead in Kenosha home on Saturday

KENOSHA (WITI) -- Kenosha police confirm a death investigation is taking place in Kenosha, after two people were discovered dead inside a home over the weekend.

Police say they are investigating the death of a 55-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man -- who were discovered inside a home in the 5800 block of 52nd Ave in Kenosha on Saturday, January 18th.

The manner and cause of death has not been determined in this case.

However, police say they are not looking for anyone in connection with the deaths, and they do not believe there is any danger to the public.

Autopsies of the man and woman are being conducted Monday, January 20th.

"I'd like to know what happened, of course. The Kenosha police didn't really say anything to us. My wife said the coroner came. We were told nothing, and it was Saturday and today's already Monday and everybody's just finding out about it now. It's kinda weird if you ask me," neighbor William Loeper said.

Loeper says a man and woman lived in the home with their adult son. He says the woman appeared frail the only time they met.

"I believe she had lupus. When we first moved in, she came over to introduce herself to me. I met them and that was the last time I really saw them," Loeper said.

Loeper says he never saw police at the home until last week. That's when he says officers stopped by, looking for the son.

"They swung by Wednesday. They were trying to get in the house. Sat out here for about an hour to no avail. They said something about how he was making calls saying he might hurt himself or something like that. They said there's no danger to the public but you still want to know what was going on in your neighborhood," Loeper said.
