Love won’t keep them together, Captain & Tennille to divorce

(TMZ) — The Captain and Tennille are getting divorced after being married for 39 years, according to TMZ.

Toni (Tennille) apparently filed the legal documents in Arizona. The Captain tells TMZ he didn’t see it coming.

The Captain and Tennille had a string of hits in the 1970s, including “Love Will Keep Us Together,” “Muskrat Love” and  “Do that to Me One More Time.”

    I don’t think it has anything to do with women being more independent. You can trace it back to viagra being available, to men. Men think they feel like their 18 again. There’s no commitment to commitments!

    She’s screwing someone else. Sorry. 40 years they were together, granted, they only had ONE hit song, but suddenly now it’s “irreconcilable differences”? Sure. If he didn’t see it coming, that only PROVES my point. No woman is going to leave a situation without a backup plan waiting in the shadows.
