Cedar Grove- Belgium elementary, middle schools evacuated

CEDAR GROVE (WITI) — About 800 students in the Cedar Grove – Belgium area school district’s elementary and middle schools  have been evacuated due to a carbon monoxide build-up in the swimming pool area of the middle school.

Cedar Grove- Belgium School Superintendent  Steve Shaw says the build-up was detected around 11 a.m. by an alarm in the pool area.

Students from the elementary and middle schools are now in the high school gym awaiting a decision on the rest of the school day and the resolution of the carbon monoxide build-up at the middle school.
