Admirals top Bulldogs at home, 4-2

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Charles Roussel's first goal of the season broke a 2-2 third period tie and propelled the Milwaukee Admirals to a 4-2 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs Wednesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Four different Admirals found the back of the net for the Ads, while Marek Mazanec stopped 28 shots to earn his ninth win of the season.

The Bulldogs got on the board first when defenseman Greg Pateryn fired a slapper from the high slot that beat Mazanec high to the glove side at 4:24 of the opening period.

Just over five minutes later Milwaukee tied the game up on Mark Van Guilder's ninth tally of the season. Joonas Jarvinen got the play started with a shot from the right circle that was stopped by Bulldogs netminder Rober Mayer. Van Guilder got the rebound to Mayer's right, took a shot that was stopped before getting the rebound again and stuffing it on the post at the 98:45 mark.

Austin Watson gave Milwaukee their first lead of the game when Anthony Bitetto found him behind the Hamilton defense and sprung him on a breakaway. Watson skated in on Meyer and beat him with a forehand top shelf at 14:44 of the second.

After the Bulldog's tied the score at two on Gabriel Dumont's tally at 4:17 of the third, Roussel grabbed the spotlight with a slap shot that deflected off of Hamilton's Dumont and by Mayer at the 10:30 mark of the final stanza.

Colton Sissons picked up the empty netter with 13 seconds to play, sealing the Ads 4-2 win.

The Admirals continue their five-game homestand on Friday night when they host the Utica Comets for the first time ever at 7:00 pm.
