MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Police are investigating after a 92-year-old woman was struck by a car — and suffered life-threatening injuries.

It happened on Thursday evening, February 6th near 76th and Stevenson — near Pius High School in Milwaukee just before 4:00 p.m.

The woman was walking in the crosswalk, eastbound across 76th Street and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound with no traffic controls for southbound traffic.

The 64-year-old driver remained on scene and did not appear to be impaired.

Police say speed does not appear to be a factor.

The driver in this case was not arrested.
