MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Steinhafels donated $55,000 to Fisher House Wisconsin, the state’s first Fisher House, to ensure veterans and their families receive the care and support they deserve.

The donation came from Steinhafels annual Veterans Day sale, in which they advertised 5 percent of sales would be donated to Fisher House Wisconsin. Over the past two years Steinhafels financial support has totaled over $85,000.

"It's something that actually gives something to the veteran community," said Kim Michalowski from the VA Hospital. "With these big companies coming forward I think with the groundbreaking now we're going to see more of that coming, we hope."
