One in custody following bank robbery, police pursuit

GREENFIELD (WITI) — One person has been taken into custody following an armed robbery and police pursuit on Thursday, February 20th.

According to police, the robbery occurred around 12:29 p.m. at the BMO Harris Bank near 76th and Layton.

When officers arrived on scene, they observed the suspect vehicle, and a short pursuit ensued. Greenfield police say they terminated the pursuit after speeds became a concern for the other motorists.

During that time, Milwaukee police were notified, and MPD officers were able to stop the vehicle just before 1 p.m. in an area just east of S. 27th and Howard. One person was taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
