MILWAUKEE (WITI) — The American Red Cross needs your donations after a busy weekend of helping families impacted by fires. Red Cross responders worked tirelessly over the weekend, responding to four separate incidents in Milwaukee, Racine and Walworth counties, including a large apartment fire on W. Southridge Drive in Greenfield.

Emergency services provided to the clients included; emergency lodging & replacing medications to financial support for food, bedding and clothing and infant supplies in addition to disaster counseling and health services support.

On Monday, March 3rd, and into the week, clients will work with Red Cross caseworkers to determine next steps towards recovery and establish a long-term plan.

More than 21 Red Cross representatives worked together to support more than 26 families and emergency responders affected by the disasters.

Additionally, volunteers provided 100 meals to clients and multiple first responders at the scene.

Although we will never stop providing support and services to victims of disaster we do ask the public to consider making a financial gift so we can continue our strong support of neighbors in need.

You can help people affected by disasters like fires as well as countless crises at home and around the world, by making a donation to support American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
