State Fair adds Phil Vassar, MercyMe & 311 to Main Stage lineup

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Wisconsin State Fair, presented by U.S. Cellular, adds three more shows to the lineup at the State Fair Main Stage presented by Potawatomi.

Modern country singer-songwriter Phil Vassar will kick off the Fair on Thursday, July 31, with up-and-coming country artist Maggie Rose. Tickets for Phil Vassar with Maggie Rose will be $25 and $20 and the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. All track tickets for this show will be general admission; there will be no reserved track seating for this show.

Contemporary Christian rock band MercyMe will bring energy to the Fair during their show on Monday, Aug. 4. Opening the show will be Hillsong Young & Free, a new powerful, vibrant sound from the global Hillsong Church in Australia, a follow-up from the successful Hillsong live performance at the 2013 Wisconsin State Fair. This show will start at 7:30 p.m. and tickets will be $35 and $25 

The unique mix of rock, rap, reggae and funk sounds of 311 rock the Fair Friday, Aug. 8 and March 11, known to fans as “311 Day,” marked the release of their newest album, “Stereolithic.” Tickets for this 8:00 p.m. show will be $35 and $25. All track ticketsfor this show will be general admission; there will be no reserved track seating for this show.

All Main Stage tickets include fair addmission when purchased prior to entering the Fair Park

Tickets for these shows go on sale Friday, March 21 at 10 a.m. at WiStateFair.com and the Fair Ticket Office.
